Make Playtime Bonding Time

Babies are generally playful. They are also easily attracted to different sights and sounds. That is why anything colorful, objects that move, or that make sounds will easily grab their attention. At this stage, it is best to give them educational toys that could let them play and learn at the same time. Playing with your baby will also deepen your parent-child relationship. But do not just give your baby ordinary toys. Since babies are curious little beings, they might get bored with ordinary toys like hanging animals or rubber ducks. When this happens, your child will most likely lose interest in playing, making him lose precious playtime for the proper development of his mind and body.

Playtime is important to a child’s growth. It is the time when they can exercise their muscles and at the same time develop their brains, behavior and other skills. And in every play time, toys are almost always present. Toys arouse a child’s playful nature. They allow babies to channel their energies by chasing, squeezing, and manipulating play objects around. Additionally, having numerous toys available can also aid babies in enhancing their memories with the repetition of routines and sounds that each toy makes. Some toys are even designed to allow babies analyze different situations. Toys are a good way for the child to learn and recognize different colors, shapes and sounds.

There are also toys that are highly interactive allowing both baby and parents to play with each other. Playtime with a parent allows for bonding and fosters a wonderful relationship between parent and child. There is nothing like playtime to encourage the interaction between parent and child.

Interactive developmental toys should be introduced at an early stage, since they are the best toys for brain development. You can even introduce a new interest to your baby, for example, coloring books and magnetic slates allow your child to scribble and draw, which fosters creativity, while musical instruments like drums and toy keyboards and voice recorders will help your child develop a keen ear for sounds and music. Soft rubber balls are good for motor development skills.

There are even educational developmental toys that combine different elements that could help your baby to develop more than one skill at a time as they play. One such example is the Hasbro Playskool Busy Ball Popper. This toy allows your baby to grab and chase colorful balls and lets him place them back on track. While playing, you child will exercise his hand and eye coordination as well as develop other motor skill. The built in songs also auditory stimulation and train both memory and auditory recognition.
