Today’s Trend Of Software

without comments

If you are as old as I, the computer software generation started out with Oregon Trail on a floppy disk and 256 colors; as time went by, I’ve seen Windows develop into the household platform by which most computers operate and programs that can plan a house, a funeral and even your finances.  Now that we are in the present day battle of software companies vying for the best new games, financial planning software and other productivity tools, the trend of software can only grow from here on out.  Here are some other trends of software you can probably look forward to in following months or possibly years.

CMS Will Prevail

Content management systems like Wordpress, Joomla and other services that allow for interactively communicating with the world as well as store information will continue to flourish and perhaps take over traditional website creation.  Since the Wordpress software is a one-click install on all websites and has available plug-ins to enhance the end-user experience, it would appear that the rest of society that doesn’t use this type of software will soon follow suit and jump on the CMS software train.  The only thing Wordpress is yet to do is allow for financial information safeguarding which, if given a few more years, will soon master as well.

Gaming Will Thrive Further

With such titles prevalent across the web as World of Warcraft, Runescape and Final Fantasy, you can bet the online gaming software will continue to grow and eventually become some television treat where you can tune into a particular channel and, with the proper equipment,  will be able to interact with millions of kiddos playing the same games you are.  Xbox Live has started the trend; who will be the brave company to finish the trend?

Banking Will Get More Snazzy

The security software that banks use is top notch and no one will refute that; however, with the banking apps and known security flaws that iPhones have been known to expose, you can either expect to iOS to get bank-grade security to protect your financial transactions, banks to develop their own more secure applications, or the trend to fall apart altogether.  Securing your financial data seems to be a never-ending software struggle that no one has diligently mastered as of yet; hopefully, one will arise from the ashes and give us all peace of mind.

Software is a trillion dollar annual industry and will continue to thrive in many facets of life from medical billing to gaming and everything in between.  Stay tuned to local and national news for software developments as they become available.
